Out The Way Live is a Sacramento-based creative brand curating experiences that elevate the work of artists in the disciplines of spoken word poetry, hip hop, and R&B, while humanizing the artist as a whole individual. Out The Way began as underground collaborative recording sessions. We now transform unconventional spaces into intimate concert venues and record our shows live to produce timeless work for artists to share globally. We also facilitate retreats, workshops, and recording sessions to encourage recharging and inspiration for artists.

meet the founders
We met through poetry events and community gatherings in Sacramento in 2013. As artists ourselves, we saw a need for spaces that were curated with intention and care, that emphasized and elevated the work of the artists. In March 2023, we met up to see how we could use our collective skills, resources, and passions. We curated our first (sold out) Out The Way on J show August 19, 2023.
